IRGC deputy commander: enemy plots failed to break the will of the Iranian people

Speaking in reference to wars, sanctions and economic pressure, the deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guard said the enemy had sought to divide Iran, topple the system and destroy its scientific and nuclear capabilities and its missile capabilities. He said the resistance of the people and the steadfastness of the Islamic Revolution had shown that these plots failed to break the will of the Iranian people.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is an elite military force within Iran's armed forces, founded after the 1979 revolution and separate from the regular army.
