Egyptian and Saudi moves to contain regional escalation, and consultations with Türkiye and Pakistan

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan held a phone call during which Cairo and Riyadh intensified their diplomatic efforts to contain the regional crisis.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia are two of the largest Arab states and have long coordinated on regional security, including the conflicts in Yemen and Gaza, where both have played diplomatic roles.
