Pakistan stock market launches Shariah-compliant trading counter

Karachi, Pakistan ·

The Pakistan Stock Exchange announced on Thursday that it had launched the counter, which limits trading to securities compliant with Islamic principles. The exchange said the move would make Islamic investment opportunities more accessible. The step follows Pakistan's push to expand Islamic finance after a 2022 directive from the Federal Shariat Court.
