Political figure Abdulnasser al-Jaari warns against excluding people of Aden and Abyan from government jobs and calls for an end to hollowing-out policy

Aden, Yemen ·

Abdulnasser al-Jaari criticised what he described as a continuing policy of excluding people from Aden and Abyan from jobs in government institutions. He called for an end to what he termed a policy of hollowing out their public-sector employment.

Aden and Abyan are governorates in southern Yemen. Southern Yemen has long voiced grievances over public-sector jobs and representation in state institutions since the 1990 unification with the north.
