Official: Minab school disaster is a violation of international law and a clear embodiment of a war crime

Minab, Iran ·

Deputy Justice Minister for Human Rights and International Affairs Askar Jalalian said the missile attack on an educational complex in Minab, in southern Iran, violates the four Geneva Conventions, international law and children's basic rights. He said a fact-finding committee holds the United States primarily responsible for this crime.

The Geneva Conventions are the core treaties of international humanitarian law on protecting civilians and others in war, and both Iran and the United States are parties to them.
