Channel 12: Liberman cuts contact with Bennett and Eisenkot

Israel ·

Channel 12 reported that Avigdor Liberman has cut contact with Naftali Bennett and Gadi Eisenkot and no longer answers calls from his opposition partners, as the formation of the next government stalls. The channel said he insists on refusing to join a government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu and on refusing a government that relies on the support of Arab parties. The report was published Wednesday evening.

Avigdor Liberman leads the Yisrael Beytenu party, a secular right-wing party whose votes have often been decisive in Israeli coalition politics, which has been fragmented across a series of recent elections.
