IHC chief justice refers plea challenging Judicial Commission decision to another bench

On Friday, Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar of the Islamabad High Court directed that a new bench be formed to hear a constitutional petition. The petition challenges a decision of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan dated April 28.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan is the body that nominates and appoints judges to the country's superior courts, including the Islamabad High Court.
