UAE companies can recover VAT on six employee expense categories under new FTA rules

The Federal Tax Authority has identified six categories of employee expenses on which VAT-registered companies may recover input tax, provided the goods and services serve business purposes rather than personal benefits. The categories cover transportation, food and beverages, work-related accommodation and temporary accommodation.
