Arab parties hold key to Israeli government and prepare to topple Netanyahu

After the 27 October vote left no decisive majority, the 19 seats of the Arab parties give them a pivotal role. The Arab lists said they were ready to back Gadi Eisenkot's camp in ousting Benjamin Netanyahu, despite objections from the right and complex political conditions.

Israel's 120-seat Knesset needs a majority of 61 seats to confirm a government, and parties representing Arab citizens of Israel have rarely joined governing coalitions.
