In an interview with Iraq's Dijla channel, President Ahmed al-Sharaa stressed the historical and social ties between Syria and Iraq. He called for stronger economic, trade and security cooperation between the two countries and for using shared interests to build a more stable future for both peoples.
Syria and Iraq share a border of more than 600 kilometres and have long-standing historical, social and trade ties across it.
