Baghdad opens doors to oil investment.. international forum gathers top energy leaders in early 2027

Iraq's oil ministry said preparations are complete for the Baghdad International Forum for Energy Investment, scheduled for 20 and 21 January 2027. Energy ministers, heads of major global companies and international organisations are expected to take part, under the patronage of Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi.

Iraq is one of the largest oil producers in OPEC and has for years sought foreign investment to develop its oil fields and expand production capacity.
