Did Assad's chemical weapons reach the Houthis? Intelligence investigation reveals alarming details

Yemeni authorities accused the Houthis of firing shells containing toxic substances on fronts in Taiz, causing suffocation and loss of consciousness, and called for an urgent international investigation to identify the substances. An intelligence investigation cited documents alleging the group seized hazardous chemicals from Taiz University and old military stockpiles.

Since 2014, Yemen has been divided between the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah), which controls Sanaa and much of the north, and the internationally recognised government, which is backed by a Saudi-led coalition.
