The official LPG price is 295 rupees, so why is it being sold at 700 rupees per kilo in the market?

Pakistan ·

The government attributes the gap to border closures, hoarding, weaknesses in the import system and limited competition. Under a new LPG policy, four state companies have been allowed to import gas, while consumers in several areas pay between 550 and 700 rupees per kilo.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a fuel widely used for cooking in Pakistan, including in areas without piped natural gas.
