"Curriculum Development Centre": Many accusations directed at the curricula do not reflect their actual content

Jordan ·

The National Centre for Curriculum Development and Assessment said in a statement that it had followed the discussions after the attack on Hamoud Church in Karak governorate, and questions about the role of curricula in protecting young people from extremism and promoting tolerance. It stressed that such questions should be based on an objective reading of the curricula.

Jordan's public school curricula are developed under a state body, the National Centre for Curriculum Development and Assessment. Debates over how textbooks address tolerance and extremism have recurred in recent years.
