Hibik.. university services platform sparks controversy between education automation and annual subscription burdens

Iraq ·

Imposing fees on university students for using the electronic Hibik platform has sparked wide debate in Iraq. Objectors argue that education should be free, while members of parliament have questioned the project's estimated cost and how it was contracted and implemented. Bodies defending the platform say it was created to make academic services easier and move them to an electronic system.
